Digital Piano Recommendations
My favorite digital piano brand is Yamaha.
Here are some digital pianos that I recommend:
Yamaha P71 (paid link)
Yamaha P125 (paid link)
Yamaha YDP165 (paid link)
The Yamaha P71 and P125 do not come with a stand or bench, so you will need to purchase these as well.
Stand Options
A furniture stand would be my first recommendation. They are the most stable and secure type of stand. The downside is that you cannot adjust the height and they only fit a specific type of digital piano. My second recommendation would be a Z Style Stand. These stands are adjustable and they are still more stable than an X Style Stand.

Z Style Stand:

Bench Options
I would recommend an adjustable piano bench, especially if a child will be playing the piano and you don’t have an adjustable stand. An adjustable bench will help you or your child sit at the correct height so that you can produce beautiful sound while preventing injury!

Another Essential for Children
Children typically need to sit higher so that they can comfortably reach the keys at the right height. This often leads to feet dangling above the floor. For their comfort and their playing technique, we want to give them something to set their feet on. You may use something as simple as a box or a small step stool you already have at home. The goal is to have their feet flat on something solid so that they feel grounded and can focus on playing. If you want to get fancy, here are a couple other options:
Adjustable Piano Foot Rest for Kids (paid link)
Adjustable Piano Pedal Extender for Kids (paid link)
This one can only be used with pianos that already have 3 pedals built in, but it’s a great way for children to be able to comfortably play with pedals!
Pedal Upgrade
If you choose the Yamaha P71 or P125 - these come with a sustain pedal, but it is not the best quality. You may wish to upgrade to something like this: Universal Sustain Pedal (paid link).
